【G6】Peace speech

Grade 6 invited Ms. Michiko Yasuda as a part of their peace studies.
Ms.Yasuda is one of the few survivors of HIMEYURI students during the World War 2.
After the war, she worked as one of the first English teachers and after retirement she founded the nursing home “Izumi En”.
She is super active and visits five countries every year as a part of her volunteer work and for other projects.

Grade 6 had just visited the HIMEYURI Peace Museum last week so it helped them to understand Ms.Yasuda’s speech more deeply and also what they had learnt at the museum.
Thank you Ms.Yasuda for coming to AMICUS and sharing your experiences.
