Today's AMICUS 2018 / 05 / 25

【Elementary】We learned about marine life in Okinawa!

Today we invited some guests from the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology (OIST) Graduate University. They are PhD students who participate in research activities of marine biology.

AMICUS students have learned some names of sea creatures in the Okinawan sea, and the marine environment that surrounds our island. There were also some games that involved identifying and acting like sea creatures. The students enjoyed the program immensely. It really is a great feature for a school like ours, that we can get together with a group of marine biologists, so that we can learn a lot about sea creatures.

Also, it was a good opportunity for the students to use their English to people outside of school. They were reassured that the English language is a useful tool for communication.

Thank you OIST grad students!!! We hope to see you again!!!
