Kindergarten Field Trip to JAXA



幼稚園児が3日間に分かれて、宇宙航空研究開発機構(Japan Aerospace eXploration Agency, JAXA)の見学に行きました。

 Kindergarten children visited “Japan Aerospace eXploration Agency, JAXA” in the period of three days.    

  人工衛星は天気予報や地デジテレビに電波を送っている説明を受け興味を持った子供たち

The children were interested in the explanation that artificial satellites send signals for weather reports and TV programs.

   

実際に種子島宇宙センターから打ち上げられたロケットの破片に触れ、その軽さに驚いている子どもたち

They could touch the actual piece of the rocket which was launched from the Tanegashima Space Center and were surprised how light it was.

   

 宇宙ステーションでの生活をDVDで学び、無重力の世界に驚いている子どもたち

They learned about life in the space station and zero-gravity by watching a DVD.

 人工衛星の内部に使用されているシートの感触を楽しんでいる子どもたち

Children could touch the sheet which is used inside the artificial satellite.

 

  帰りのバスから見える衛星アンテナに電波が飛び交っていることを学びました

Now the children know that there are many radio waves sending signals to satellite antennas, even though they can’t see them.
