After-school care Program (ASCP/Gakudo)
AMICUS provides After-School Care Program (ASCP) mainly for the children whose parents cannot attend at home due to work or other reasons. It is offered inside the school facility. The Gakudo Club is for Grade 1 to Grade 6, and the After-School Club is for Grade 7 to Grade 9.
We value the relationship of the staff and children as ASCP is regarded as a second home for the children. Our goal is to cultivate a pioneering spirit in the children through daily activities and play in “homelike” atmosphere.
As well as homework time, there are also a variety of activities, such as dodgeball, tennis, crafts, exploration in the rich natural environment around the school, relaxing in the picture book room, to name a few, are utilized at ASCP. Therefore, each child can participate in whatever and however he/she wishes.
There are two main themes at ASCP. One is to stimulate the moral growth of the children in their own society by learning how to communicate and be compassionate with others. Another is to connect and exchange with the communities. By focusing on these themes, we listen, stand close to, and support the children each day.
