Today's AMICUS 2018 / 06 / 25

【Elementary】Guests from Killin Elementary School.

We welcomed a group of students from Killin Elementary School for their Summer Program. THis is actually their 4th time at AMICUS. Thank you for coming again!!

After the meeting at the Multi Purpose Hall, our students took the guests into their classrooms.

In the Japanese class, the students were writing a picture letter using Goya. The students were able to express the bumpy surface of Goya quite well.

The Killin students also experienced Home Economics, a subject they don’t have in the States. They were doing some sewing. The students challenged in  sewing shapes of hearts and ice-creams.

After lunch, they also experienced cleaning. This is also something they don’t have in the States. They usually have cleaners, cleaning the school for them. In Japan, we do clean our school as an important part of moral education. This includes something like public duty, and cooperation. This is how the students get reminded why they need to keep their school grounds clean. I wonder how it appeared to the Killin students.
