【Elementary】Daily lives of G3

Today’s focus of the blog is on each classes of G3.

G3 worked on Stencils!!!

They’re using their artwork as a decoration for the special event next week.

“………………………………………………..”

(No one spoke. They’re really concentrating on their work.)

3B – A research on a famous person

3B students were looking up a famous pianist, Nobuyuki Tsujii, on their iPads.

They searched about what kind of person he is, and what he had accomplished.

3C Math studied weight

They first took turns holding buckets full of toys, guessing how much they weigh.

“Is it 2kg?”

“No, is it 1kg and 350g?”

The answer was 3kg. Good try?

Then the students checked the vocabularies they use in the weight unit.

The words “Heavy” (OMOI) and “Weight” (OMOSA) are quite closer in Japanese, but the word classes are totally different. But they were able to figure it out by themselves!!

Finally, they tackled some math problems.

“The elephant lost so much weight!!”

Even if it’s just a made-up subtraction, they know it’s not real from the amount of weight the elephant had lost.

Students from the Pottery Club visited the office today to advertise their exhibition.

“We are having an exhibition at the Pottery Club from 4 o’clock to 6 o’clock, so please come!!!”

This Friday is their last day!!!
