Today's AMICUS 2018 / 11 / 17

【Kindergarten】Family Sports Day

Kindergarten held its Family Sports Day event on November 17th, and many parents were present to cheer and support! The event started with kinder kids proudly parading their original class flags.

K1, K2 Circuit

First event on the program was “K1 and K2 Circuits”.

K1 kids cautiously balanced as they walked the beam, and cleared the vaulting horse.

K2 took turns walking on stilts, twirling the hula hoop, and jumping toward the goal in a sack race.

Team Gymnastics

Next was team gymnastics. This is a typical sports day event in Japan. The event aims to develop physical and team-building skills. Each child completed all moves perfectly! Well done, Kinder!

Parents’ Event

Parents raced pulling their kids on the magic carpet (cardboard sled). Kinder kids held tightly onto the cardboard, trying not to get swept off!

All-Kinder Eisa

The Eisa dance was very well performed by the children of K1 and K2.

The choreography was remarkably smooth!

K1 & K2 Relay

Relays always catch the eyes of guests at a sports day event. K2 runners were surprisingly big–and FAST! K1 runners have GROWN since the beginning of the year. All were reminded of how quickly these kids grow!!

Special Surprise Guest!

“Uruma- god of tradition” (a local hero) showed up to celebrate our students’ award-winning performance in the recent, local dance competition. Kinder kids were all excited to dance and sing with our surprise guest!!
