Today's AMICUS 2018 / 12 / 07

【Elementary】Bechtel Elementary visits AMICUS

Today’s AMICUS zooms in on visitors from Bechtel Elementary School. The songs they sang, and dances they danced were fabulous!

After a superb performance, small groups of visiting students were guided to one of several classrooms where they had a chance to learn in a setting with AMICUS students.

Students visiting G2 enjoyed a variety of math games, making a “boom-boom goma” (whizz spinner), and/or an original greeting card to celebrate New Years.

For those visiting G3 classrooms, playing a game of “karuta” and learning the kanji of students’ names, as well as their meanings, were activities of interest. We also suggested some ideas of phonetic kanji that may match the Bechtel students’ names.

4th grade’s group enjoyed P.E. lessons together. The classes were held inside due to the rain. They trained their trunks, played mini basketball, and some hockey.

In G5 Math they learned about how to calculate average.

In the afternoon, G2 students sang their Performance Day songs.

We hope to see you again next year!
