Today's AMICUS 2018 / 12 / 19

【Elementary School】Activities in Human Rights Week

Today Grade 3 held an event during AMICUS time in coordination with Human Rights week. Leading off the event, a student from the 4th grade spoke about his hearing impairment and showed a wonderful video describing his struggles with the disability and other issues such as bullying.

Following this we also watched another video made by a student from the 5th grade. He wanted to illustrate how bullying happens, how it impacts people and how to resolve issues related to bullying. Many members from 5th grade classes played characters in the movie, they did great!

Moreover, the film was selected to be in a competition held at the United Nations headquarters in New York. Our student didn’t win but he is to be commended for his efforts.

Grade 3 students learned a lot from this session and we are sure they will be more aware of human rights as well as bullying.
