Today's AMICUS 2021 / 09 / 09

【JH】Distance Learning

At AMICUS, all the students from kindergarten to junior high have been learning online during school closure since August 24.

This time, we will report from some of the online classrooms in junior high!

In junior high school, students have first to the sixth period, which is the same as the regular school schedule.

Students join each subject teacher’s Zoom room before the class starts.

[G9 Math]

They are learning factorization.

After watching an explanation video pre recorded by the teacher, they work on the math problems at their own pace.

They cleared their questions by asking the teacher whenever they needed help.

[G8 Japanese]

Their current unit theme is “Be a good listener.”

They had a pair discussion under the theme of “About English,” then they shared what they had talked about with the entire class.

After the class, students recorded their summaries.

They have various opportunities to express their thoughts!

[G7 English]

Students pick one of the novels to read.

This time the class was divided into groups with the students who chose the same book.

They had a discussion about the book while they shared their own similar experiences!

Also, students enjoy learning in the other classes, such as experiments in the science class, and drawing in the art class, etc.

AMICUS will reopen next week!

Students must be really excited to see their friends and teachers.

Teachers and Staff are also looking forward to seeing the students in person again!
