AMICUS K2 students invited Mr. Medoruma from MOTTAINAI BATON to give a lecture on food loss.

Mr. Medoruma has been working to commercialize “ready-to-eat curry” from food that would otherwise go to waste due to out-of-standards or other reasons.

K2 students grow vegetables in the yard and use compost to make fertilizer.

They also love to eat, so they were surprised to learn that a lot of food is wasted.

They discussed food loss around them and what they could do to reduce food waste and presented their ideas together later.
