AMICUS Grade 1 Nature Walk at the AMICUS Forest

Our first graders had an exciting adventure on their Nature Walk in the forest near the Tengan River on AMICUS campus!

We were happy to welcome Mr. Takeru Naka, an insect researcher and nature guide, as our guest teacher.

With the support of our amazing parent volunteers, the children explored the beautiful natural area connected to the AMICUS campus.

Before setting off, everyone gathered in the multipurpose room for a short greeting and opening talk.

With bright eyes and big smiles, the students started their walk, full of curiosity and excitement!

Once in the forest, discoveries began right away!

“Look! A big spider!”

“There’s a dragonfly!”

The forest was filled with happy voices as the children spotted insects, plants, and other creatures.

Some even bravely caught bugs with their hands!

It was a great chance for them to explore nature and learn with all their senses.

Mr. Naka also shared fun stories about forest life and why it’s important to take care of nature.

The students listened closely, fascinated by every word.

After the walk, big smiles spread across their faces —

“I want to go again!” “Next time, let’s go deeper into the forest!”

It was a wonderful day of discovery, learning, and laughter.

We look forward to more adventures like this as our students continue to explore and grow at AMICUS!
