Our 5th graders at AMICUS have been working on rice farming since returning from summer vacation.
Today, they finally reached the long-awaited harvest day!!

The students carefully cut each rice stalk by hand.
Many of them were surprised, saying, “It’s tougher than I expected!”—yet they all stayed focused and worked hard!

After cutting the rice, they tied the bundles securely to prepare them for drying.
Watching them work together showed just how reliable our 5th graders have become!

The work finished so fast thanks to their hard work. After, the rice bundles were neatly lined up for sun-drying.
Over the next two weeks, the rice will slowly dry and continue its transformation into delicious grains!

From planting to growing strong and healthy—
The students are already excited for the day they get to taste the rice which was raised with their own hands!

This harvest was made possible thanks to the kind support of rice farmer Mr. Kinjo.
With his help, the students were able to complete their work safely and smoothly today.
We truly appreciate his warm support for our 5th graders and the AMICUS community!
