The other day, we held an exchange event between Grade 5 students from Killin Elementary School on the base and Grade 6 students from AMICUS Elementary School.
Last time, AMICUS grade 6 students visited Killin Elementary School,
and this time, we were happy to welcome Killin Elementary students to AMICUS Elementary School ✨

It was a joyful reunion, and the children were excited from the morning!
In the morning, we played dodgeball with mixed teams.
The matches were intense, and the venue was filled with excitement!
The winning team was Team F, wearing blue-colored bibs.
Whether they won or lost, it was heart-warming to see the students cheering for and praising one another ✨

After getting plenty of exercise, it was time for a fun lunch break in the courtyard!
While enjoying their meals together, the students chatted about school life and their favorite things.
One AMICUS Grade 6 student shared:
“The trends and topics we talk about are a little different, and I discovered new things.
Everyone was very friendly, and our conversations flowed naturally. I was happy that we became friends so quickly!”

In the afternoon, the students enjoyed a Japanese cultural experience.
AMICUS Grade 6 students introduced traditional Japanese activities such as calligraphy, spinning tops, and origami.
The Killin Elementary students kept trying again and again, even saying, “This is really hard!”—a very memorable sight!

This exchange gave the children a chance to meet new friends, gain new perspectives, and take on new challenges.
We hope to continue cherishing these experiences and to keep building heartfelt connections through future exchanges.
