At AMICUS, students from 1st to 9th grade look forward to our authentic pottery classes held a few times a year, led by a professional pottery teacher!
Each grade takes on a different theme every year—such as plates, planter pots, or Shisa lions—making it one of the most popular classes among the children!

Today, we took a peek into the 1st graders’ very first pottery class!
Their theme for this session was “Planter Pots.”
Visualizing their favorite animals, characters, and shapes, the children thoroughly enjoyed the texture of the clay as they freely created their own masterpieces!

After the bisque firing, it was finally time for the most exciting part: coloring!
The classroom was filled with joy as students happily consulted with friends, asking, “What color should I use?” while others chose colors thinking of their families’ happy faces, saying, “I want to give this as a gift to my family!” It was wonderful to see them so beautifully engrossed in their creations.♪

We have a collection of truly one-of-a-kind, wonderful pieces. We can’t wait to see how they look once they are fully fired and finished!
