At AMICUS After-School Care Program, children enjoy spending time together after school and during school breaks, doing homework, playing, and taking part in all kinds of fun activities!

This summer, we had a very special guest visit us! ✨
The Okinawa Prefectural Police came to AMICUS with their marching band! The officers, who work every day to keep our community safe, brought lots of music and smiles to the children.

As soon as the music started, the children were excited!
The band played a fun selection of familiar songs, including Ghibli and Disney medleys, as well as the popular theme song from Demon Slayer.
When “Jamboree Mickey!” started playing, the children clapped along and danced with big smiles!

After the concert, it was time for an important safety lesson.
Together, we reviewed some important safety rules, such as never following a stranger. These rules are known as “Ika-no-Osushi” in Japan. The children listened carefully and took the lesson very seriously.

It was a wonderful opportunity for the children to enjoy music while also learning how to protect themselves and stay aware of their surroundings.
A big thank you to the Okinawa Prefectural Police for visiting AMICUS and making this such a memorable day! ✨
At AMICUS, we will continue to create a safe and fun environment where children can enjoy their time after school with bright smiles!
