Today is Tanabata, the Star Festival.
As I walked through the school building, I noticed colorful strips of paper with wishes written by students hanging in the G1 and G2 areas. I took the time to read each one carefully, and their heartfelt messages truly warmed my heart.
Here are some of their wishes:
-
“I hope I can become better at basketball.”
-
“I hope to spend happy times with my whole family.”
-
“I hope I can run faster.”
-
“I wish for my family to stay healthy.”
-
“I hope all my teeth fall out by the time I’m in G1.”
-
“I hope there will be no more wars.”
-
“I hope I can continue making friends at Amicus.”
Each wish is unique and full of individuality.
At Amicus, we hope to be a school where every child’s personality is valued and nurtured with care.
By the way, there were blank strips and pencils nearby, so I wrote a wish too:
“I hope all Amicus children can spend a safe and healthy summer vacation.”
Summer is full of excitement and fun, but it also comes with risks.
We kindly ask all parents to pay close attention to their child’s safety and well-being during the holiday season.
