AMICUS JHS: Water Activities 2025

At AMICUS Junior High School, students take part in our annual “Water Activities” program every July. Each grade enjoys a different destination and activity, giving students the chance to learn and grow while having fun in the water.

Grade 7: Swimming Practice at the Prefectural Sports Park

The 7th graders took a swimming lesson at the Okinawa Comprehensive Athletic Park.
They were grouped by skill level and practiced under the guidance of professional instructors, with a strong focus on safety.
The session was full of energy, smiles, and the lively spirit of the 7th graders!

Grade 8: Beach Cleanup and Art in Yomitan Village

The 8th graders visited “Gala Aoi Umi” in Yomitan.
They started with a beach cleanup, then enjoyed snorkeling and exploring the underwater world.
Afterwards, they used seashells, driftwood, and even trash they collected to create their own photo frames.
It was a meaningful day that combined fun, creativity, and care for the environment.

Grade 9: River Trekking at Ta Falls

The 9th graders went river trekking at “Ta Taki” in Ogimi Village.
They walked through the river, touched the rocks, and observed tropical plants up close!
It was wonderful to see them encouraging and helping each other along the way.

Each grade had a unique experience, but all students enjoyed a safe and meaningful day.
Spending time in nature helped them appreciate the importance of water and strengthened their bonds with classmates!
