Learning for the future! The Career Fair for Grade 6 and 7.

At AMICUS, we recently held a Career Fair for Grade 6 and Grade 7 students!

Five inspiring guest speakers from different professions joined us to share their experiences and stories, giving students the chance to think about their own dreams and goals for the future!

 

RBC News Reporter – Ms. Marino Uezu

Ms. Uezu, a reporter from Ryukyu Broadcasting Corporation (RBC), spoke about how important it is to stay calm and think quickly in real-life reporting situations.

Students even had the chance to try a reporter experience, reading from a prepared scenario and learning how challenging! They can deliver the news with joy!

 

 

Elementary School Teacher & Professional Basketball Referee – Mr. Hisashi Kinjo

Mr. Kinjo shared an inspiring message about never giving up on your dreams.

As both a teacher and a professional basketball referee, he encouraged students to keep working hard and believe that determination can open new opportunities in life!

 

 

Okinawa local Comedian & Idol – Atsuki Niinii

Atsuki Niinii, who works as both a comedian and an idol, brought lots of smiles and laughter while talking about the importance of taking action and creating your own path.

Students learned that effort, courage, and continuous self-improvement are key to success.

 

 

Uruma no Takumi Osteopathic Clinic – Judo Therapist & Acupuncturist, Kazuta Matsuda

Mr. Matsuda, who supports people’s health in the medical field, spoke about the importance of “caring for both the body and mind.” He shared stories and showed some of the tools he uses in his work, helping students understand the passion and sense of purpose behind his profession!

 

 

Police Officer – Mr. Shizuma Akamine (Ishikawa Police Station)

Mr. Akamine talked about the everyday work of police officers and their role in keeping the community safe.

Students were able to learn about the responsibility and teamwork it takes to protect people and maintain peace in our society.

 

 

Singer – Ms. Chiharu Tamashiro (Kiroro)

Ms. Tamashiro, a beloved Okinawan singer from the duo “Kiroro”, spoke about the power of music and how to express yourself creatively.

At the end of her session, she worked with students to write and compose an original song—filling the classroom with music and smiles!

 

Through this Career Fair, students gained valuable lessons from professionals who are making a difference in their fields.

It was a day full of inspiration and discovery, helping them imagine the kind of future they want to create!
