On October 9, the first semester at AMICUS came to an end.
At the kindergarten, elementary, and junior high levels, closing ceremonies were held, where student representatives from each grade shared what they had learned and the memorable experiences they had during the semester. From each presentation, we could clearly see how much our students had enjoyed a fulfilling school life, filled with learning and growth.
Once again, I was reminded of and deeply grateful for the dedication of our teachers and staff, who work every day to provide meaningful lessons and memorable educational experiences for our students.
Then, something happened that made us feel even more thankful.
It was the “Rainbow of Gratitude” Board, secretly prepared by our wonderful SHinE parents.
Children from the kindergarten, elementary, and junior high wrote heartfelt “thank-you message cards” to their teachers and staff members. These cards were then carefully attached one by one by the parents to a large rainbow-shaped board.
As I read each card, I was deeply moved by the children’s kindness and sincerity. There were even some cards addressed to the principal—but I’ll keep their contents a secret! (smile)
At the JH closing ceremony, Ms. Koshiishi and at Elementary closing ceremony Mr. Kakazu spoke on behalf of Shine to introduce the “Rainbow of Gratitude Project.”
Through this beautiful surprise, I was once again reminded that all of AMICUS’s educational activities are supported by the warm understanding and cooperation of our parents and guardians.
I would like to express my heartfelt appreciation to all of you.
Lastly, Mr. Kakazu has contributed an article about the “Rainbow of Gratitude Project” to our school newsletter ACT. Please take a moment to read it.
