On the day of Setsubun*, kindergarten and elementary students did mamemaki(bean throwing).

 

 

 

*It is a day to celebrate the beginning of spring by getting rid of evil spirits by throwing dried soybeans.

 

 

 

Kindergarteners threw the beans to a picture, which they had drawn their evil inside of themselves, to get rid of their weaknesses.

 

 

 

1st and 2nd graders also did mamemaki to the three demons (Guess who?) in the courtyard.
