The 7th Annual “AMITALKS” Japanese Speech Contest

On February 26th, AMICUS held its 7th Annual Japanese speech contest, “AMITALKS.”

After weeks of practice, student representatives selected from each grade in our elementary and junior high school took the stage in the gymnasium. In front of the entire school—from Grade 1 through Grade 9—they shared their thoughts, ideas, and stories with confidence.

The speeches reflected a wide range of interests, personal perspectives, and research topics. Each presentation was unique, allowing every student’s personality to shine!

We were also especially impressed by students from the JSL classes. Although Japanese is not their first language, they spoke bravely and expressively in their own words, leaving a strong impression on the audience.

Putting one’s thoughts and feelings into words and sharing them in front of others is never easy. That is why this experience of speaking before a large audience will surely become a valuable source of confidence for the students as they move forward.

To all of our speakers—thank you for your hard work, and well done!
